![]() | Beyond Stateliest Marble: The Passionate Femininity of Anne Bradstreet (Leaders in Action Series) by Douglas Wilson
Buy new: $13.22 / Used from: $8.49 Anne Bradstreet was a beautiful woman in whose footsteps the women of today would do well to follow. She knew her place, and delighted in her role as a woman. She lived with passion, and the book describes the things, people, and ideas about which she was passionate. I look to Anne as an ideal of a Godly woman whose many virtues I would like to mirror.

![]() | Mother by Kathleen Norris
Buy new: $13.60 / Used from: $4.95 A touching story of a young girl who goes into the world to find what her heart desires. In the end, she realizes that really wants to be a loving, Godly wife and mother, like her own mother. When I began this book, I was a bit sceptical. I thought, "This isn't the type of girl I would want to emulateor bother reading about." But I cried at the end, and highly recommend this book.

![]() | The Three Weavers (Rare Collector's Series) by Annie Fellows Johnston
Buy used from: $10.50 A special "fairy" tale about three daughters and their fathers. At each girl's birth, they are given a loom and golden thread to weave their ideals of the prince who will someday come for them. The story tells the difference the instruction on forming ideals makes in each of the girls' lives.
The book has large, storybook print, and poetic language (not meter). It's a sweet, excellent story.

![]() | His Chosen Bride: Applying Proverbs 31 as a Single Young Woman by Jennifer J. Lamp
Buy used from: $16.11 A study on the first half of Proverbs 31, applying the verses to the single woman. I've heard the question, "How can I be a Proverbs 31 woman if I'm not married?" This book is an answer to that question. Jennifer Lamp gives ideas and encouragement to single women who aspire to be a Proverbs 31 woman. You probably won't agree with everything in the book, but it's still well worth reading.

![]() | The True Princess by Angela Elwell Hunt
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $5.98 The King goes on a journey, leaving his daughter in the care of a humble nurse. She learns about royal character, and when the king returns, he makes a proclamation asking for his daughter. A sweet tale for little girls as well as older ones on true character.

![]() | The Way Home: A Princess Story by Max Lucado
Buy used from: $3.67 A sweet allegory describing how a princess is discontent at home, and chooses the darkness. Her Father, the King, comes to ransom her with His own life, and take her home to Himself. Beautiful pictures!
I think this can also apply to daughters at home who may feel discontent with their place as daughters of the King, and daughters at home of their parents.
