Excellent
I've bought this book and it's excellent..I couldn't believe that someone thought to do this great work..Well you can find anything about being tenor in this book. From explanations of fachs(lirico, drammatic tenor) to general tenor problems, you learn lots of things..This is a must-have book for tenors...Lots of exercises, examples of voice analysis of great tenors and much more....
Very good book for some one already familiar with the technical terms and techniques of singing
I found this book to be an excellent source of material for one who teaches voice. I would not recommend this book for a rank beginner. They would be lost in the lingo. I would like to see this book listed as a voice instructors tool/material source.
A must-read for any tenor
The late Richard Miller proves that he is one of the world's foremost experts on the tenor voice. Rather than spewing out subjective information and old wives tales about singing, it condenses singing tenor into specific quantities of scientific and anatomical variables that is quite easy to follow for anyone with a basic background in vocal and laryngeal structure. It then goes on to give excercises, and backs up this knowledge with good, practical information that will directly apply to singing and dramatically improve any tenor singer. It lists the common tenor problems, how they are fixed, and discusses specific problems within each subcategory of tenor voice (leggiero, lyrico, spinto, dramatic). A great tool for teachers and students alike, this book gives cold hard facts and solutions to singing tenor.
