Youthful, Cutting-Edge Surf Periodical
Oceanside, California based Transworld Surf is the definitive youth-oriented surf publication out right now. TWS is the anti-thesis of "SURFER" magazine which caters to a much older and well rounded audience. TWS is also different from "Water" which also caters to a more broader spectrum of the surf population and "Surfing" which is somewhere in the middle. Editor Chris Cote is infamous for his straightforward, politically incorrect and sometimes funny writing approach. Most of all, the art design is incredible. Cutting edge graphic design, loud, bright, in your face attitude, that perfectly captures and complements the fast moving, high flying, extreme sports atmosphere that defines today's high performance surfing. These guys also review the latest music and surf products, destined to keep you "in the know" on what's hot and what's not. Matched with dazzling action photos from around the globe from some of the top surf photographers in the business and you have one entertaining magazine (depending on your level of sophistication). From what I remember, the targeted audience and average age reader is somewhere between 15-21.

Great magazine. Can't get this for any cheaper so you might as well go through Amazon. Takes about 3 weeeks to get your first issue.
