Of course, we'll start with the record that started Christian Metal! Soldiers Under Command is still one of my favorites.

Bloodgood started around the same time as Stryper. They had a heavier sound with very straightforward lyrics.

If you liked Ratt, you'd love Whitecross. Scott Wenzel sure sounded like Stephen Percy! This self-titled album was their first.

Sporting a little more polished sound, Triumphant Return is probably my favorite Whitecross album. Some catchy hooks here.

Horrible production, but great music. Bride at this time had their own sound, but later evolved into a more Guns 'n Roses meets Skid Row.

I still wish Novella put out albums today.. The created near perfect melodic metal in the vein of Harem Scarem, Jaded Heart, or Pink Cream 69.

Believer's Extraction from Mortality is a thrash disc that I still listen to often. The guitar work is amazing and the sound is very tight.

Speed Metal/Thrash/punk with some of the best sounding drums ever. I love this disc. Mark Solomon went on to lead Stavesacre years later.

What can you say about the Pig? You just have to experience their punk/thrash/comedy music. This was their first album. I originally bought it because it had a keyboard with an X through it! Isaiah 6 is still one of my favorite songs.

The Pig's last full studio album. This is a classic if their ever was a classic. Who can forget their cover of Johnny Cash's Man in Black, where Johnny Cash actually sings with them! I saw them at Cornerstone 91 and had a blast!

BC's first major release. This is a great album, from the first song to the last. The production is way above Rock for the King. Mike Lee sounds almost exactly like Bruce Dickinson and Jim LaVerde is an equal to Steve Harris on bass.

Guardian's first album is drastically different then the rest of their discography. This is pure pop hair metal all the way. Tony Palacious is a phenomenal guitar player.

Guardian has a pretty good discography, so I'll just pick one more of my favorite albums - Bottle Rocket. Bottle Rocket is just pure good Hard Rock at it's best.

Tourniquet hits home run number 3!If you think the title is hard to pronounce, try reading some other song titles! Last album with Guy Ritter on vocals.

pure primal punk here. The Lead was way ahead of their time. Now you can download their entire discography from iTunes for like $12!

Very good musically, but lyrically a very strange disc. The boys of Deliverance are very angry, and probably deservedly so. Their record label wasn't supporting them at all. The Big D's cover of Silent Night is something not to be missed! Deliverance put out about 4 or 5 more albums, but they just aren't speed metal at all.

The Christian Queensryche, almost literally. Sacred Warrior was awesome! Rebellion was their first album, while Master's Command was their second. Both albums are required listening for fans of Queensryche.

Awesome classic rock from one of the oldest Christian rock bands around. Check out all of Rez Band's albums. Glen Kaiser can sing (and sing the blues too!)

truly unique sound. Can't even compare them to anyone else. They used a heavily distorted bass a-la Cliff Burton.

Holy Soldier's self titled debut is pure pop hair metal all the way. The disc is well produced and sounds very clean!
