About Us
As a person who has suffered with Fibromyalgia for almost 15 years now, I have spent many lonely nights in front of the computer doing research and treating myself the best way I could learn how because my MD offered me no support. What I have found is that each individual is affected by fibromyalgia differently and a treatment program that works for some, may not work for others. There are a lot of "quacks" out there who will sell you "Grandma's Fibromyalgia Remedy" just to get your money for a product that is useless and there are legitimate supplements that will help, depending on how Fibromyalgia effects you. That is why it is so important to learn your body and how Fibromyalgia effects you. I have found that there is no one vitamin, pharmaceutical drug or "miracle pill" to alleviate all of my symptoms and I don't suppose you will either, unless your case is relatively mild, with few symptoms. What I have tried to do is build a website with as many fibromyalgia resources as I can find to help others who suffer like me and cut through the red tape so to speak. I cannot say that I have read all of the materials featured on the Amazon site as I have not. I can say that they are resources that you, another with Fibromyalgia, may find useful in developing your treatment plan and changing your lifestyle to accommodate your illness. I would be most appreciative of any feedback that is sent my way as I, too am still searching for answers. My Fibro began almost 15 years ago, first with bouts of IBS and flu-like symptoms. It seemed I was sick with the "flu" more often than not. There were periods of time when all I could eat for months was scrambled eggs and toast, else tolerate another bout of IBS and sickness. I had Tender Points in my shoulders that I could not explain. In 1999, I began to have severe muscle cramps in my legs, the IBS grew worse and the Tender Points multiplied. I also suffered from Globus Hystericus. Also, in 1999, I suffered my first stroke, which although it did not show up on any CAT scan, it took me out of work for an entire year. Over the next 7 years my condition worsened to the point where I was forced to change jobs 4 times because I could no longer physically do the work I was doing. I have had TIA's that I did not recover from so now I take Alzheimer's meds and due to the dementia, the fatigue and the chronic pain, I can no longer work. Learn all you can about this illness before it takes your life away!
