I will never allow to be listed any product I have not used myself or do not recommend. I personally hand-pick each item in each category and either rate or review (or both) each item. If an item is listed here and has other reviews, I have also rated or commented on every single review of that item.

I realise that I will probably receive criticism for "commercialisation" of this site, but I don't care whether you buy these products from Amazon, from another retailer, find them at an estate sale, or skip them entirely. It's simply that if you like what I like, here's a convenient way to order the product, and a tiny commission to me (which won't affect your price), which will tell me that you value my opinion.

I hope that my readers and collaborators will agree with me, and will understand that this store is provided as a convenience to them and nothing more.

It's a way of letting people know what's worth buying (after my twenty years' worth of investing my hard-earned cash in various items) without taking up blog entries to promote products I think are worthwhile.

In case you're wondering why I'm not recommending any Orthodox CDs, it's because St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church is setting up an Amazon store which will have Orthodox Chant CDs and I don't wish to compete with them.
