Guess Who's Back
As "A Private Affair" concluded, Sean Matthews stood before God, family and friends and professed his love for his best friend and fellow Army mate, Cameron. That profession is the first of a boatload of drama to follow including a stalker, hidden agendas, love, life, death and many more turns of Sean's sexual revolving door.
"Sweet Swagger" was a very quick read, though it has less of a storyline and direction of its predecessor. Again, the editing was lacking. Sean celebrated his 25th birthday in "A Private Affair," yet he was 24 at the beginning on this novel. Readers are finally given the name and age of his son Lil Man. But that only creates another problem as his age doesn't jive with the information from the previous book. I'm not even going to get started on the punctuation, or lack of. I don't mean to harp on this, but I am beyond tired of poorly edited books.
That said, I think Mike Warren has a story to tell, that there is talent there, but...he needs some help in the form of a developmental editor to strengthen his strengths and weaknesses, focus his writing and do away with the unnecessary and unrealistic. Personally, I'd like to see him revisit the "organization" in another novel. There's a lot that can be done with that.

Not a Private affair anymore!!
Sweet swagger is the follow up to "A Private Affair. I love the way this book starts from the exact sentence that "A Private Affair" left off. If part one is homosexuality 101 then that makes "Sweet Swagger" homosexuality 102. This book is grittier, more descriptive then its predecessor and will have you looking for more. I love the way Mr. Warren speaks directly to the reader, which leaves no room to question; what is he trying to convey to the reader.
Sean Matthews is back with a vengeance. Sean is out the closet and wants Cameron to his self. What is the problem you ask? Well it is Cameron's wedding day and he is marrying a woman no less. This is what we have all waited for to find out Cameron's response to Sean declaration of love as he stands at the alter preparing to say his vows before God, family, friends etc. No I am not going to spoil it you MUST read to found out Cameron's answer. We follow Sean along with the many trials and tribulations of his complicated life. We're introduced to some new characters that bring the story to life. Jamaal is back and even worst then in part 1. Jamaal still has an ax to grind, and will stop at nothing to bring Sean down. Secrets are revealed that will have your head spinning.
Author Mike Warren does an awesome job bringing this story together. I look forward to reading more of his work in the future with his unique style of writing.

Amazingly Written
This book is literally a masterpiece and a superb follow up to "A Private Affair." There are not too many gay authors who incorporate that "spice" that is needed to spruce up their literary work and keep their audience intrigued and entertained. All I can say is, it started off hot and remained throughout the entire book. Simply put, well done. I look forward to another amazing book in the future.
