Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal
This book tells the story of the principal figures involved in the Cuban-American National Foundation, the most influential organization of the Cuban exile community, whose most prominent leader was Jorge Mas Canosa. This extremely well-documented book describes how the organization was formed and how a dedicated group of men and women, through political involvement and lobbying, was able to influence American policy toward Cuba. The author had access to private papers and archives and conducted hours of personal interviews with well-known Castro opponents like Pepin Bosch, Pepe Hernandez, Roberto Martin Perez, Ninoska Perez, and Jorge Mas Canosa. The result is an interesting, well-written, and exhaustive look behind the scenes at the organization and the people who have fought relentlessly to restore democracy to their homeland.?Jorge Gonzalez
