Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Berkeley Breathed returned his most beloved character, Opus, to comics pages in November 2003. Opus, the little penguin with the big beak and even bigger heart who sold more than 6 million books and had 70 million readers in the phenomenally popular comic strips, "Bloom County" (1980-1989) and "Outland" (1989-1995), now graces the Sunday comics sections of nearly 200 newspapers.
