Product Description

The poseable, non-transforming Cyber Stompin' Bumblebee towers above virtually any of his Autobot cohorts or Decepticon adversaries. The Cyber Stompin' Bumblebee arsenal of gimmicks includes the following: battle sounds, music, light-up chest and eyes, launching fist and robot punch action---and of course Cyber Stompinâ action featuring electronic crashing and crushing sounds. A reconnaissance operative, Bumblebee is charged with the task of remaining concealed as he scouts the Allspark. Like the original Bumblebee, heâs cited as one of Optimus Primeâs bravest, most determined, and most trusted troops. A previous dust-up with Decepticon opposition left Bumblebee unable to speak, necessitating that he communicate by alternate means.

Amazon.com Product Description
With the Hasbro Transformers Cyber Stompin' Bumblebee Action Figure, kids can help rescue Earth from the clutches of the evil Decepticons. Based on the character Bumblebee from the summer 2007 blockbuster hit movie, "Transformers," this action figure has battle sounds and features galore. Recommended for ages 4 and up, Cyber Stompin' Bumblebee will let kids relive all of the movie's best scenes.

Fearsome Sound Effects
Cyber Stompin' Bumblebee totally immerses your child in the action by recreating sounds straight from the movie. His main feature is his fearsome stomping action -- every step he takes produces electronic crashing sounds. The sounds are so convincing that kids will think they're standing right next to a massive Transformer as he crushes everything in sight. He also makes a number of other sounds, which can be triggered at the touch of a button. Battle sounds and speech clips recorded straight from the movie make it all the easier to imitate favorite scenes.

Sleek Design
Perfect for kids and collectors alike, Cyber Stompin' Bumblebee features a sleek, movie-accurate design. Unlike other Transformer figures, this figure does not convert into vehicle mode, but instead stays in its powerful robot mode. With launching robot fists and punching action, he can make quick work of any Decepticon. His many points of articulation make it possible for kids to adjust him into any pose they like. In addition, Bumblebee's eyes and chest light up for a cool mechanical glowing effect.

About Transformers
The Transformers began as a Hasbro toy line back in 1983, featuring toy vehicles that could transform into robots. The toys soon inspired an entire universe of fictional story lines, pitting the two factions of Transformers -- the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons -- against one another. A live-action movie based on the Transformers was released in 2007 and has continued the toy line's extreme popularity. With action figures such as Cyber Stompin' Bumblebee, kids can bring home the struggle between the Autobots and Decepticons.

Customer Reviews

Bumblebee is big, tough and loud.. but very cool4
As part of the wave of toys to tie in with the 2007 Transformers movie, Cyber Stompin Bumblebee is the latest amongst many Bumblebee movie related toys to hit the market.

The Cyber Stompin line, has huge figures much larger then their normal figures that are posible, adjustable and very detailed looking but don't Transform. So they are mostly nice to play with for the little extra perks they provide, over the fact that they change into anything else like most toys with the name Transformers do.

Cyber Stompin Bumblebee comes with two huge buttons on his chest. When pushed they will provide a sound out of speakers on the back of its legs. One sound is a robotic mechanical walking sound effect and the other strangely enough is a few seconds of the old Transformers cartoon theme from the 1980s show. Also he has two buttons on his arm that will effect his fists and also make a sound as if a rocket was being fired off. One hand actually shoots out of the arm with the push of the button, the other will just spring forward and go back into place as you let go of the button. To top it all off the eyes will light up at various points, becoming a light blue color. When you have it on its full on mode after buying it, the figure lights up and makes sounds when you move it about even if not pushing the buttons.

Its a good bargain here, considering the size of the figure and all of the little surprises located upon it with the push of buttons and movements. It is nice to display and can take a punishment from a kid having a good time taking advantage of all it can offer. There aren't really many negatives besides the fact that while it plays the old G1 cartoon show theme, this Bumblebee has no relation or similarities to the old name sake besides the fact that he is yellow and black painted. Also the fact that a Transformer costs a bit more but can't Transform may be a weird notion as well. But this toy does make up for its short comings. It may be Bumblebee in name only but it has moveable arms and legs and looks quite impressive when standing next to some of the smaller toys. Most kids will get a kick out of this variant of the movie character Bumblebee.

As of this posting there are only two figures in the Cyber Stompin line, this one and Transformers Movie Cyber Stompin Optimus Prime. Both are pretty similar but the Optimus figure seems to have more of the look of the classic character over Bumblebee. But they probably should have made a Decepticon figure as well as we have two heroic large sized characters and no one for them to battle. Seems a bit out of place to make two good guys bigger then everyone else with all these features and options and no one for them to do battle with while you play.

I do recommend this toy though. As a fan of old school Bumblebee it is nice to see this new version in such an impressive and well detailed toy. The price is right, the toy is well built and it is fun. Even if its just there to display on a shelf, it will make people stop, look and play with it just to see what it does. At first it looks a bit over done in the box but once you take it out of its binds and let it loose, any kid will have a field day with this figure. A very nice re creation of the movie character, one of many Bumblebee figures now out and about in honor of the movie. Out of all of the Bumblebee's out there, this is definitely one of the better figures to carry the Bumblebee name on it.

Try it out, I think you will enjoy and be glad you did.

Nowhere is mentioned that it does not transform2
Unfortunately, and only after receiving the toy and reading other customer opinions, do I realize this toy does not transform.
I feel fooled by Amazon because I consider its advertising as biased by making us believe that by getting the Hasbro Transformers Movie Cyber Stompin Bumblebeewe were obtaining a true transforming toy.
Could I return it? or should I be more cautious on buying anything from this well respected on-line store?

slightly confused4
This is a great toy with excelent sound effects. I don't necessarily understand why they decided to make a Transformer that doesn't transform but my son loves it anyway. Just thought I'd mention that we bought this at Target for $19. I never would have considered buying it at the price listed here.
