An excellent first novel
R.L. Taylor does a great job drawing the reader into each of the characters in this novel. The lives of Lee and Rita are described in rich detail as the story develops. The reader wonders who's playing who? Would Rita really give up all that she has to live an ordinary suburban life with Lee? Would Lee play the role of a kept man for Rita and should he? What's the mystery all about, what isn't being said, how will it unfold? Then all of a sudden a ghost from the past enters the picture. What affect will they have on this already strained relationship? R.L. has a wonderful way of adding surprises into these lives just when you can't possibly imagine one more thing could happen. I found the book hard to put down and couldn't wait to return to it just to grab a few more pages. I applaud this new author and look forward to reading his next offering. Congratulations to Mr. Taylor I hope he has many more stories in the coming years!

I see a sequel coming on...
The Last Ms. Understanding is a book that anyone can relate to. One cannot help but become engrossed in the story line from beginning to end. The book never becomes stagnant and will keep your interest throughout. The author does a great job of showing both sides of the story, but still keeping you guessing and wondering at what might happen next. Hold onto your seat as Rita and Lee ride one emotional rollercoaster ride after another..see what happens as two people try and keep secrets while sinking further and further into their web of deceit. Not only will you not be dissapointed, but you'll find yourself anxiously wanting more...yes, I see a sequel coming and can only hope that the author does as well...

Refreshing storyline!
It was a great experience to read The Last Ms Understanding. Rita and Lee face obstacles presented because of Rita's yearning for success and Lee's feelings of inadequacy. Both are keeping secrets but Lee has witheld much more from their relationship and it's an awesome experience watching the story unfold. In an attempt to find true love and companionship Rita feels she has found the man of her dreams until truth begins to rear it's ugly head and throw some pretty confusing curveballs at their relationship.

R.L. Taylor does a fanastic job of keeping the reader engaged and interested in the story. You won't be able to stop turning the pages. Great debut novel from this author. I will definitely keep an eye out for future releases.
