Amazon.com Review
Attend to all cooking tasks with this attractive and comprehensive 11-piece cookware set from German manufacturer Beka. Designed by three-star Michelin chef Marco Pierre White for the White Heat cookware collection, the set includes a 1-1/2-cup butter warmer, 1-1/2- and 2-1/2- quart vegetable pans, a 5-quart casserole, a 3-1/2-quart chef's pan, and an 11-inch steak pan. Lids accompany all cookware except for the steak pan.

Each set piece benefits from a 1.5mm copper exterior. Copper surpasses all other materials in heat conduction and it transmits heat evenly to eliminate hot spots and scorching. A brushed finish reduces the need for frequent copper polishing. To prevent the copper from reacting with food, a durable 18/10 stainless-steel interior acts as a buffer in all set pieces. The interiors of the casserole, the butter warmer, and the vegetable and chef's pans display laser-etched capacity levels to enable precise measurement. For further convenience, the cookware rims flare slightly to reduce spills when pouring. To transport the vegetable, chef's, and steak pans and the butter warmer to and from the burner, Beka securely riveted a hollow cast stainless-steel to the side of each. Two hollow cast stainless-steel loop handles are mounted on the casserole's sides for carrying. The set's fitted copper lids help contain heat and flavor, and offer top-mounted stainless-steel handles for removal. The cookware set adapts for baking use, sustaining temperatures up to 425 degrees F. For the best care, wash and dry the cookware by hand. The set comes with copper cleaner and care instructions. A lifetime guarantee covers the set. Upon shipping, the cookware set measures 34 by 13 by 8 inches and weighs 26-4/5 pounds. --Jessica Reuling

Best copper pans I've ever used!5
This set is amazing. Not only is it a perfect selection for a starter set, but the quality is beyond that of someone just starting to move up in the kitchen. I've expanded my set with a couple of other pieces, and love each and every one.

This is a nice, heavy set, and with hand-washing, mine has retained all of it's beauty (although I admit to polishing them when I wash them). This is not a set just to look pretty; it's meant to be used. I've had mine less than six months, so is relatively new, but I've not seen any rust or had any issues with the metals. The black handles are especially nice; not only do they not overheat like brass would, but I have mine on display in a contemporary kitchen and it doesn't look too country-ish. I hope to acquire more of these pieces and recommend them to both new and accomplished cooks alike!
*Note: they mean what they say...START WITH LOW HEAT until you are used to cooking with a high-quality copper!

Also nice is the fact that they do NOT have an aluminum core; despite the controversy about the safety of cooking with aluminum, I dislike the tri-ply because of all the reviews (and some first-hand experience) where eventually the bottoms fall off. You'll never have to worry about that with this set, and you get the same great cooking capabilities. I've been cooking since I could hold a spoon and stir, taught by my mother and grandfather who was a sous-chef, and this set exceeded my snobbishly high standards.
