He demonstrates -- passionately and eloquently -- that whatever you think will be, that your state of mind determines what you can and can't do, and that all successful results can be modeled and duplicated. His enthusiasm is contagious as he shows you how to:
Robbins calls Unlimited Power the new science of personal achievement. You'll call it the best thing that ever happened to you.

Editorial Reviews
From Publishers Weekly
This is a comprehensive and intelligent success achievement program for setting and following through with personal and professional goals by the California behaviorist who popularized the method of "neurolinguistic programming" (NLP), or control of mind over body, culminating in his trainees' barefoot jaunt over hot coals. Essential to Robbins's "Ultimate Success Formula" are clarity of desired goals, energy, passion, persistence of action, effective communication skills and altruistic motives. His is a success prescription based on realistic and sophisticated ideology, best suited for those who have already "got what it takes" and simply have yet to make it happen.

From Library Journal
Robbins argues that by using a new technique called neurolinguistic programming (NLP) anyone can become successful at almost anything. NLP teaches us how to communicate success to ourselves. One of the best ways to do this is to model ourselves on people who are successful: Think, act, and speak like a success and you are on the way to being one. Despite much helpful material (even regarding nutrition), this book scarcely acknowledges the limitations that exist in people's lives. Of course, the whole thrust of NLP is to learn to focus on one's power and not on one's limits. But the text is too wordyit reads like a transcript of a series of talksand it also needs more structure and organization. Though it strives to be upbeat and encouraging, Unlimited Power still leaves mixed feelings. John Moryl, Yeshiva Univ. Lib., New York

Review
Robbins unveils the techniques he teaches at his "Mind Revolution" seminars. Although he doesn't guarantee that readers will be able to emulate his graduates by walking on hot coals, he implies that his advice will help them "grow" "emotionally, socially, spiritually, psychologically, intellectually and financially. . ." His program is based on "Neurolinguistic Programming" techniques which, in effect, psyche up individuals to perform at their optimum through a host of mental, emotional and physiological reprogramming strategies. A basic step is the selection of a successful person as a model, learning all one can about his or her strategies, and adopting them as one's own. To promote confidence and eliminate negativism, Robbins describes in detail various mental imaging exercises along with techniques for understanding the mind and emotional sets of other people in order to motivate them or (if they are role models) to emulate them for one's advantage. Robbins makes some extraordinary (but presumably documentable) claims for his program. He, for instance, says he trained every member of a group of army recruits to shoot accurately even though he himself had no knowledge of rifles. He learned the technique in a few days from sharpshooters, absorbed their strategies and passed them on to the recruits who had been trained in his brand of positive thinking. Never before, says he, had 100% of a training group passed the course - the best record had been 70%. Whether 100% of his readers will become tycoons or superstars is a very moot question. But Robbins is a persuasive communicator who spends more linage on step-by-step details of his recommendations than in self-boosterism. This approach could attract considerable readership from dedicated self-helpers. (Kirkus Reviews)
Customer Reviews
Dishonest!!!!
The publishers of this CD are being blatantly DISHONEST. The CD claims to be the AUDIO Unlimited Power and even includes a statement about it being narrated by Anthony Robbins.
Yet the CD is NOT AN AUDIO VERSION OF THE BOOK. It is simply a recording of Mr Robbins presenting 50 minutes of material at a seminar.
Only in small letters at the back of the CD does it say "abridged version".
Avoid the CD. Just buy and read the book.
Good primer but lacks substance
Anything by AR is good, hearing his voice and his ability to speak is motivational, and without a doubt his knowledge of NLP is the real deal.
That's why I was disappointed in this 50 minute CD. There's not enough time to go in depth about the topics, he throws a few lists out there and jumps around in his subject matter.
I'm a fan so it's hard to be critical, but unless you can pick up a used copy for a couple of bucks this just isn't worth it. Instead, spend one extra dollar and buy his book, Unlimited Power. There you'll have 300+ pages of in-depth, paradigm-shifting material that will have a much greater impact on your life.
Tony is powerful & motivating
I listened to this tape every day for 2 weeks while reading the book edition. Nobody is more motivating than Robbiins. At the time, I was like a miniture version of Robbins; newly divorced, out of work, alone and afraid. Thanks to Tony's techniques, I turned that all around. My financial life was also a mess and as per TONY'S ADVICE in a edition of Powertalk, I also bought Wealth Without Risk (now More Wealth w/o Risk) by Charles Givens. Givens tecniques did as much for me financially as Unlimited Power did for me on a Personal Development level. Thank you Tony Robbins for one of the best, if not the very best Personal Development books of all time!
