Very nice picture filled book about the moon. Even if you read a lot of history like me, you may enjoy this simple book about the moon, layed out in an old school witchy fashion. I feel this would be a great gift to a witch, it is fun and filled with many of the aspects of the moon goddess and photos to go along with it, mostly classical ones, adding to the faux Victorian feel.

You are probably getting the hang of this by now, I like Elizabeth Pepper's work.

This series is fantastic, all the books look like brew soaked old tombs. The pages convery a good use of computer art programs without making it overdone, too modern or just plain crappy.

Not completey archaic, but the herbal part has a lot of nice plant illustrations, making it one of my favorite herbals.

I have heard this author recycles a lot of her work, but I have only one book from here and it is great. It looks like an old journal and has three bookmarks, bookmarks being another arachaic thing that gives a book like this life.

I would buy every book this person puts out, just for the packaging and it is good that the author's books also supply good factual info to boot. This is another one of the puffy cover, metallic print, bevelled edge old textured paper and good use of computer programs to make a good older looking product. I enjoy this book a lot, great for pleasure reading under candlelight.

Not really a Wicca book, but Wicca's roots are grounded in ceremonial magic and this book is dark but contains great drawings of daemon spirits conjured. Very Victorian, but heck, so was Crowley.

The cover isn't that great, but it does cover just about every draw symbol, divded by symbol shape. If you see a symbol in an archaic text and want to know what it means, here is where you go.

This is where I started in the 70's when I was a kid. No Teen Magick book to get me where I needed to go, oh no. And even though these are Time-Life Books, I love them. They are so well done and cheap to buy nowadays.

Nice old school book. Though the facts about his work have been debated, it is still a good time capsule of Italian practices and has wonderful illustrations and borders.

Nice book of Greek gods, can be adapted to Roman study. Well done illustrations. I have used this one for reading material in our group because it is written in more of a dramatic way and is more entertaining when presented to a group. Plus, I can show them the pictures! I recommend this to witchy parents too.

This book is more modern essaywise, yet contains countless drawings and good graphic design, a feast for the eye as well as the mind.

Pretty saw tooth edged book done in cream colored paper and brown fonts, giving it an old time look. Some simple illustrations highlight it.

Norse Myths from the same author. A great book to read to kids and enjoy yourself.
