Amazon.com Product Description
The Timex OVA Ironman Triathlon Watch is a tough timepiece designed to withstand a tough triathlon--and all the training that goes with it. Constructed with a lightweight resin case, the watch includes a stationary plastic bezel and a black resin wristband with an adjustable buckle clasp. A durable mineral window shields the large digital-gray dial face, which displays time as well as the day, date, and month. Four black and peach buttons decorate the bezel and include mode, set/recall, Indiglo, and stop/reset functions. A prominent start/lap button rests above the 12 o'clock position. This athletic timepiece is powered by digital-quartz movement and is water resistant to 330 feet.

Watch out for the Band2
I bought this watch as a present for an avid sailor. After 6 months the band started to fall apart - the large problem is that you can't get an over the counter replacement band. You have to send the watch back to timex which will take upwards of two weeks. They also do not have any other options besides the original rubber band, which I will assume will break again.

Timex OVA - great running watch5
I recently bought a Timex OVA (optimal viewing angle) watch. I bought it as a replacement for my old Nike Triax watch, which inexplicably stop functioning correctly. After comparing several different watches, including the new Nike Triax watch, I was impressed at the lightweight of the OVA; I can't even tell when it's on my wrist. Also the OVA comes in large- and mid-size versions, which is very important for many runners like myself that have thin wrists. The viewing angle makes looking at your watch slightly easier while running versus the conventional angle. Furthermore, the placement of the buttons is the best on any watch I have ever owned or tried; the start/lap button is literally fool proof and very easy to find without having to look down! The indiglo night feature works the same as many new sport watches, by lighting the numbers rather than the screen, which works very well at night. The memory feature gives lap times, total time, best time, average lap time and also the date at which the time was recorded, which makes recording training information very easy. Finally this watch not only performs fantastic... but it looks awesome with a ton of different color options.

Not very pretty, but what a great watch!4
I bought this watch about 2 and a half months ago. I have to say that when I opened it up and looked at it, I was a little disapointed. The color scheme on this model is all over the place. The body of it is glossy black, the band is grey plastic, all of the buttons but the indiglo button are almost a bluish color, or darker grey, then the indiglo button is bright yellow. As I have gotten to know some other runners, they will almost all say that functionality is far more important than appearances. Timex is going to benefit from that mentality.

Since then I started wearing it running in the mornings and switching to my other watches for my work day. I found that this watch was so functional that I found myself looking at the wrong part of my wrist for the time. Secondly the watches that sit on the top of my wrist are not quite as comfortable as the OVA. As it is now I wear it all the time, except when I am wearing a suit. I get alot of questions about it, it is eyecatching.

I recommend this watch for anyone, but if you need a watch that will match your outfit go with something else. Hats off to timex for coming up with such a simple yet revolutionary idea.
