Inspiretech Case Black
I ordered this case on a Monday and I got it in the mail by Thursday of the same week at no extra cost! The polycarbonate case feels great and gives excellent grip. I only regret I didn't get more colors because I tend to get bored with a single color. The case clips on easy enough but taking it off can be a little tricky at first. Great fit and great case! =)
Precision Fit
Bottom line: if you are looking for a slim, polycarbonate case, then get this one. Here's why:
1. Great precision fit. The top edge of this case almost exactly covers the chrome trim around the screen. I was worried that it would impinge on my screen protector (Power Support Crystal Film Set for iPhone 3G/3GS), but it doesn't even touch it. The rest of the case feels as if it was painted on the iPhone; snug and not loose at all. This case will not accidentally fall off your iPhone.
2. The sides of the case extend above the surface of the screen by about 1 mm. This was important to me because I wanted at least some protection on the top of my iPhone.
3. Does not feel or look "cheap".
4. Fast shipping. I ordered the case on a Friday and it arrived Tuesday. (Mine shipped from Walnut, CA and I live near Los Angeles, CA.)

After a few months of using this case, I decided to take it off to see how well it protected my iPhone. For the most part, it worked, but the two chrome edges on the top were mildly scratched or at least it looked like they were. (It could be plastic transfer that I couldn't rub off.) These are the two edges where the case "clips" to the top of the iPhone. It wasn't terrible, but I like this case so much, I thought of a way to protect the chrome going forward. I basically use electrical tape to create a buffer between the plastic case and the chrome top. Here's how:
Step 1: Cut two pieces of electrical tape the length of the long edge of the iPhone.
Step 2: Stick each piece of electrical tape to the inside of the sides of the case (not iPhone), leaving extra tape hanging off the edges, which you'll trim later.
Step 3: Clip the case to the iPhone. Be careful not to fold the electrical tape into the iPhone. Make sure the extra tape flops outward.
Step 4: Carefully trim the excess electrical tape with an X-ACTO-type knife.
If you buy this case, line the clip edges with electrical tape. I still recommend it.
Inspiretech iPhone 3GS cover - Red
I got the cover for my wife within a week with standard shipping. It fits very well on the new iPhone 3GS with all the keys / connectors easily accessible. Highly recommended if you dont want to spend [...] bucks in Apple or AT&T stores
