About Tissot
For more than 150 years, Tissot has embodied the innovation and tradition of Swiss watch-making. Based in the Neuchâtel area of the Jura Mountains, in Le Locle, Switzerland, Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile created the watch making company Tissot in 1853. Whether in the technology of its movements, in the research for special materials or in the very functions of the watch itself, Tissot's engineers and watchmakers have developed pioneering timepieces over the years.

Some of Tissot's triumphs over the years include the the Idea 2001 (the world's first plastic watch) released in 1971, the Rock watch (which set the timepiece's movement in a stone case made from Swiss Alps granite) in 1985, and the Wood watch from 1988 (with a completely wooden case). Tissot uses the best movements (from ETA SA Manufacture Horlogère Suisse), the highest quality materials (316L steel, 18K gold, titanium) and scratch-proof glasses (sapphire crystal--at least 2500 Vickers).

The company has been involved with high profile sports events since 1974 when they sponsored a racing car in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, France. Since then Tissot's timepieces have been chosen as official timekeepers for world championships in cycling, motorcycling, fencing and ice hockey. And Tissot is currently the the official watch and timekeeper of NASCAR.

Tissot timepieces have been worn by a bevy of celebrities over the years--including Grace Kelly, Elvis Presley and Nelson Mandela--and James Stewart's character L.B. Jefferies wore a Tissot timepiece in Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window." Today the company is represented in a variety of sporting fields by English soccer star Michael Owen, IndyCar driver Danica Patrick, and MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden. Today, Tissot is a member of the Swatch Group, the world's largest watch producer and distributor.

Take Notice Watch4
I bought this on watch on a cruise and Amazon's price is better. I've had several take notice since this is a striking watch but not big and heavy (titanium). It is a touch watch so you press a button on the watch then the face becomes a touch screen to select different services by touching the face such as altimeter, temperature, barometer, alarm, timer, or even a compass (with rotating bezel, N,S,W,E). All are functional. The barometer is very helpful as it keeps tracks of trends and will give you a general idea if bad weather is coming (in millibars). If pressure is increasing the watch will move to the right of 12, left if falling and on 12 if no change (with LED window showing millibars. The altimeter is useful but keep in mind it is a barometric altimeter so you need to adjust it for pressure like any barometric altimeter. My two gripes are for the tempurature you have to leave the watch off for 15 minutes or it will not give you an accurate reading. Surprisingly you there is not light features so you can't use it at night without external lighting. Therefore these two options give it a four star rating not five.

Lastly, fairly accurate time piece...Swiss made.

(Please note: A few of those with the orange band version of the touch screen had problems with it after six months and a few met rude customer support who fought on not honoring the warrenty according to the poster. I've had the watch for 4 weeks and have had no problems so far but hope this problem was an anomaly.)

very techie...5
well, I am almost a nerd, and a big Nascar Fan, all works out, but all my friends love it, wish the altitiude would work better but its a watch, it's basing it on barometer, so depending on a weather change your altitiude changes, not a biggie as long as you are aware, the yellow colour i very flashy, but also sporty, over all I love it, the barometer function works great, tells you if its gonna rain wheter I can wash my car or not :) very usefull

Nice watch5
It seams do do everything it's advertised to do very well. I can't belive how light it is.
