Customer Reviews
Not sure how "Mighty" they are, but the kids love them....
My mother was manipulated into buying these for the kids on a store trip with my 3yo. I rolled my eyes, and thought to myself "Great, more small pieces for them to lose." Of course as soon as I read the pamphlet and started seeing that some beanz were worth more than others, they're collectible/tradeable and some were just plain cute, I was addicted. Having 4 children, we ended up with 24 beanz. There were only 2 repeats in the whole bunch, which impressed me, since they were bought from the same batch. We got 2 of the rarest(but not the Mighty Moose). My mother in law says that many years ago, there were toys called Mexican Jumping Beans(not the ones with worms, actual toys) that her kids played with and these are supposedly very similiar.
These are basically little capsule shaped plastic pieces with some type of metal(?) ball inside that rolls from one end to the other allowing it to move. They have cartoonish pictures of people and animals. I'm not sure how they apply the pictures, but they can and DO scrape off with normal play. On the plus side, my youngest has used and abused the beanz, and they have yet to break.
I didn't see how these Beanz were going to keep my childrens attention, as they don't really do much, but it gives a list of games in the pamphlet, and they had fun trying them out. My 3yo is especially good at creating things to do with them. Unfortunately, my eye rolling b/c they are small and easily lost was justified. We are now down to 14 out of 24. Needless to say, my review is mixed. These are great for collecting, and fun for children of most ages, but I highly reccomend 6 and older(It reccomends 5 and up), and be prepared for some to be lost unless you have a very responsible child. Start collecting and have fun!
Collecting Mighty Beanz
Mighty Beanz are great. They are little collectible plastic beans that you can collect and put in a giant collectors box. You can buy 3 packs and 6 packs and it comes with a guide about Mighty Beanz that will tell you about the secret club greeting, the Mighty Beanz points and the rare Mighty Moose bean. I am 8 years old and I love them and so do my 5 year old sister and 3 year old brother. They can be very fun but be careful not to lose them because they are pretty small.
Life Saver
My son is 6 years old and when he heard there was something new he could collect he was very HAPPY. I don't let him have violent toys so this is a great alternative. All of us sit down and play games with them. My daughter even enjoys playing with them. Like I said a great non-violent toy. It is worth the cost and they don't get lost like most little toys.
