Amazon.com Product Description
Pimping ain't easy, but telling time is with the men's Pimpin watch by Tokyo Flash. Ideal for evading the police and keeping punctual for pesky court appearances, this streetwise watch displays time with bright blue LEDs in code. Press the button once and it will show the time. The hours are indicated up the left side and the minutes are on the right. Press the button a second time and the date is displayed. When it's time to hit the streets, you'll know--the LEDs form a spiral every two minutes between the hours of 6 p.m. and 1 a.m., otherwise known as "pimp time." Constructed with a 35-millimeter stainless steel case, matching bezel, durable mineral window, and 23-millimeter stainless steel wristband with fold-over clasp and pushbutton safety mechanism, the timepiece is powered by digital-quartz movement. In addition, this flashy watch is water resistant to a depth of 99 feet and is backed by a 1-year manufacturer's warranty.
Customer Reviews
Unique and flashy
First, if you're looking for a watch that's practical or waterproof, this isn't for you. But if you're looking for something different, you might consider this watch. The first thing you notice is this watch is SHINY. The band is shiny, the case is shiny, and the lenses for each individual LED are shiny. And the LED's are bright. The picture doesn't convey how good the watch actually looks. This watch will get noticed! Bear in mind, you will have to push a button to see the time. And you'll have to count the lit LED's to decipher what time it is. It's actually very easy, the left hand column indicates hours, and the remaining columns indicate minutes, arranged in units of five. All LED watches in my experience (I own 7 of them) need a button to be pushed to indicate the time. It makes sense if you think about it, considering LED's draw much more current than LCD displays, if the LED's were on all the time the battery wouldn't last very long. Timekeeping is accurate, I haven't noticed more than a minute of drift over a few months. If you're looking for unique and something that doesn't tell time like every other watch out there, I'd recommend it.
An advise
If you need the time, right away. Double touch the button for the time, because this watch waste time lighting the Leds before showing the time.
