Customer Reviews
Sometimes cheap is not cheap enough.
I thought with Turtle Wax's reputation, I could trust a product from them. Sure enough, after I used this cleaner, there was noticeable white haze on my wheels. There's no excuse for any modern cleaner to do this! I assume they test everything at some stage, but when it starts to make wheels hazy, it's back to the drawing board, lads. I noticed I'm not the only customer who has had this problem, so I wish now that I'd read the reviews. The main reason I bought this cleaner is because it was cheap; now I know that's the wrong reason to buy an automotive product. The best cleaner I've used is Dupont's Teflon wheel cleaner, and while it costs a king's ransom compared to this stuff, it's well worth not having the hassle of the dreaded white haze.
Extremely BAD Product
Turtle Wax advertises that this is safe for all wheels. This produced a white milky haze all over my wheels that was incredibly hard to remove. After extensive labor and scrubbing with a cleaner/polish some (not all) of the staining has been removed. I called Turtle Wax customer support who offered no solutions or compensation. What a nightmare.
Cheap (Not on Amazon) and works well!
I somewhat agree with the other reviewer about it being expensive here. I never bought it on Amazon, but I got it at Wal Mart alongside Turtle Wax's ICE Car wash (see my review for it) for only $2.75 but anyways you can't just rate it low and not mention how well it works.
Which... this stuff works well, After soaping and hosing down my car, I sprayed this liberally onto my tires and alloy wheels on my Anniversary Edition Infiniti Q45 and I saw the brown stuff which I've tried hosing down on my tires, but it never came out. When I sprayed this stuff on it, the stuff started melting, the white foam turning brown. No more stubborn dirt on my relatively new Kumho Ecsta tires! Then I just hosed the stuff off and it looked clean, its not the stuff that makes your tires ultra sleek black, and your rims ultra sleek silver, its the stuff that CLEANS the tires and wheels, and that it works well, melting gunk efficiently, and doesn't have some disgusting smell or anything. I just wish it was in an Aerosol can to make application a bit less stressful on the hand, but it surely isn't hard to just spray stuff on your wheel.
I highly recommend this but get it at Wal Mart or something for $2.75
