Customer Reviews

Wow!5
This vise works great!
Was a little concerned first by the price and then the size but once it was installed and operational on my new 72"x 30"x 1.75" bench top, was glad I spent the extra bucks.
Installation was cake. It likes to see 3" of bench thickness so I had to make a shim from some maple cut-offs.
The weight of of this thing at 35 Lbs feels like a ton when your trying to hold it in place while threading the cap screws for mounting... you may wanna get some help.
The quick release allows quick position of the jaws to the work and works very well. Everything lines up and the template works well. The pivot jaws works great for odd shapes (like a guitar neck). This is a good vise.

Good Design5
I've got this installed on a temporary workbench. I'm using it to build my new permanent bench and designing to use this as a end vise.

The full face of the vise can be raised to use with bench dogs for large items without the marring that can occur with the small one inch blocks that are on other vises.

The rapid acting nut on the 79A makes it much easier to position material with one hand and tighten the vise with the other.
