Yuri Kononenko is a russian-born gambler. By education he is a hydro-mechanical engineer with diploma from Moscow University. He has an extensive background in mathematics, physics, classical and mathematical logic, philosophy and kung-fu.

Dice Control
This book is one of the best I have read...and I have read many that are mentioned in other reviews. Yuri discusses the math, statistics, mechanics as well as warning to the realities of gambling and attempting to get an advantage. Very few who have written books on this subject (and will sell you their seminars) will be as honest and upfront. For someone who is seriously looking into gaining an advantage at the Craps table, this book is for you! When you get tired of the fluff in other books, get serious about your play with Yuri's theories. Are there some things that you can do differently? Yes...and he will tell you that within this book. If you want to make other's money, buy their books. If you want to make yourself money after intensive study and practice, this book is for you. Your choice!

A Brief History of Craps...
For a long time I have abstained from discussing my opinions of so many of these gambling books, and the author's who pen them. However, I believe Mr. Kononenko is getting the "short end of the stick" [...]

I have had the privelege of playing with some of the greatest gamblers this world has ever seen. And Benny (Binion) would be turning over in his grave seeing some of what is being said [...]

Being able to throw the dice, with any measure of control, takes much practice and patience. It is not something any person can learn over the course of a weekend, or two. After nearly 60 years of shooting, I don't even claim to know all there is to know. And it certainly is not something that allows you to stand there and roll any number you want, whenever you want. What it does do, however, is allow you to alter the random outcome of the dice in such a way that you improve certain table bets, into your favor.

This is the information Mr. Kononenko tries to pass along. This book takes a unique, mathematical, perspective of craps, and dice control. And while I cannot agree with all of his ideas (or even understand one or two of them), this does not make his book any less of valid text on the subject of creating an advantage at the tables.

Overall, Mr. Kononenko offers his theories for influencing the dice, but still offers that each reader should make their own decisions on what is the best way for them to play.

If you are interested in dice control, your search ends here! This is the only book that you need to learn everything related to controlled throw. This book has detailed photos to illustrate the correct dice setting, grips, and hand-body position to perform the art of controlled shooting.

This book is little expensive compared to other books available in market but it is worth every penny! Another point, your success is proportional to the amount of time you spend on practicing the right moves. Don't be under the impression that because you just read the best book, it will make you the best shooter automatically!

P.S: Several people bashed Yuri's book because he asked people to shoot from the ends and not from the stick left or right. Please don't dump this book for those comments. Shoot from wherever you feel comfortable with but go through the wealth of information this book provides.
