About Treadmills
Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home.

From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface.

While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.

Get it while you can. 5
I got one of these brand new from another company. I should have checked with amazon, but I didn't look hard enough apparently. I found that this model brand new was only sold through one place. It was still a good deal, and of course the warranty is longer as a new item. Still, now that I have it, I'd reccomend picking up the factory refurb in a heartbeat. It has one of the longest decks, which I needed. I like to RUN, not walk. And I'm 6'3 so have a long stride. I reccomend at least 2 people if you have to move it up or down stairs. It's a heavy duty unit, and therefore weighs a lot. It's not difficult to roll around on the floor, but trust me, you don't want to try and lift it. It's very solidly built, but you can feel the deck is cushined. An important thing for your joints, especially at my age. The layout is easy to understand and use. Wish the fan had more power, but that's really a minor thing. I never saw it in any description, but the unit does have a safety latch for the deck when it's upright. Mine seems to stick a little, but it probably just needs a little WD-40. Assembly took me about 30 minutes. It wasn't difficult, I just didn't have any help, and kept misplacing stuff. I know one thing however, and that is that they cannot be getting many of these to refurbish, so I would get it while it's available.

Great product, excellent condition!5
Bought factory refurbished from Amazon. The treadmill arrived well packaged on a wooden pallet with no damage. Was fairly easy to move with the sturdy rollers.

Have been using this for past 6 weeks and works excellent with no issues. Size is good for tall people (I am 6' 2" and wife is 5' 10") and provides good shock absorption while running.

Only negative we have found is that the magnetic safety device that you are supposed to clip to you by the string often triggers due to the short string length so have had to not attach it until we lengthen the string.

A bargain for such a sturdy machine5
I've had my Ironman Inspire treadmill for approximately three months and I must say thus far I am completely satisfied. I was very reluctant initially since the treadmill was labeled as "refurbished" although at $799 I was willing to take the chance as all my research told me this was a top-notch unit.

When the treadmill was delivered to my home I was overwhelmed by the packaging. They do a great job securing it to a pallet and completly wrapping the unit in multiple layers of plastic and styrofoam before securing it in a large cardboard box. To my pleasant surprise the treadmill looked to be brand new. I couldn't find any trace that it had been previously used. Either the unit was a return (not used) or the company does an outstanding job during their refurbish process. After unpacking the unit I realized the immense size and weight of this treadmill. You can be certain you'll need at least two, probably three, people to move it to its destination in your home. At my house we moved it into the basement and I did it with only one helper, but it was a pretty tough task to get it there.

My wife and I have each used the treadmill almost daily for the past three months and I am blown away by the quality of this machine. Its heavy weight makes it a very sturdy treadmill which I can only liken to commercial units I have used in the past. The motor is smooth and there is almost no trace of vibration when walking or even running on the treadmill. The display is easy to read and the controls are well placed and easily reached. The built in fan is a nice touch and the different programs are very useful. The built in grips for heart rate also work well.

I only have a couple of minor criticisms of the treadmill. The wireless heart rate strap, which you wear around your chest, doesn't seem to work very well. Each time I've tried to use it I gave up after a few minutes because it failed to record my heart rate. No amount of re-positioning would correct the problem and it was pretty uncomfortable to wear anyway. My only other concern is that, although the treadmill is very stable when on a flat incline, it does seem to be much less stable when using the incline. The more you incline the unit, the less stable it feels. I must add though that I weigh about 200 lbs and run pretty hard. My wife who weighs much less says it feels fine to her.

Overall, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a treadnill of this quality for the price paid. Nothing else in this price range compares to it and I really think you'd have to spend double to get the quality and features of this treadmill. Thus far, the fact that it is "refurbished" isn't a concern and I'd highly recommend this treadmill to anyone.
