About the Author
C. Kirkham has served a variety of jobs with her talents as a writer for sixteen years and has owned horses much of her life. The Friesian horse in particular captured her heart, especially when she first saw the seven month old Friesian colt that became part of her family. With Torden, Hear the Thunder, she has been able to combine her love of horses and writing into a well-researched and engaging novel for young adults and horse lovers alike. The mother of three, Kirkham lives with her husband in Oregon.

Wonderful!
If you love Friesian horses, you should read this book. Now I'm hoping number two will come out soon. I want to know what will happen to this wonderful horse and his Niesje.

Wonderfully heart warming !
This book is both timeless and ageless and very heart warming. I found myself going back to my childhood and my love of horses and reading the adventures made me feel as though I was there living them with each page. I applaud C. Kirkham for bringing the history of the Friesian horse into such a GREAT read and look VERY forward to the sequel. I highly recommend this book to everyone, young and old, it's OUTSTANDING ! Ronda
