A higher standard in trading books
The book starts with a brief introduction to the fundamentals Dr Elder has been promoting since his first book (how to buy, example setups, psychology and risk management) and then moves to advanced topics (keeping records, where and how to sell, where and how to place stops, how to short and presents a strategy for finding stocks to trade).
All the previous is illustrated with examples from Dr Elder's own diary where you can see how a professional trader executes his trades. Only this point is worth many times the book.
I have read many trading books and it is difficult to find a new book that really adds something new. This book has a lot of material and it is a pleasure to read. I highly recommend this practical hands-on book to everybody that takes trading in a serious way.
Good information
Dr. Alexander Elder, after writing Trading for a Living, takes readers to the next level and teaches them about selling and short-selling. Before doing so, he covers the topic of how to buy because according to the author, you have to buy well in order to sell well.
The book is organized in a way where the author writes approximately one page about a subject, then asks many multiple choice questions. The second half of the book is dedicated to answering those questions, and that's where the bulk of information is provided. For some this type of organization may not work because it feels like being back in school studying for an ACT or SAT. But besides that, the book is excellent.

This is a Study Guide for a Class
Had I paid attention, I would have noticed that this book is a series of question and answers. It is labeled as a "Study Guide" for one of Dr. Elder's classes.
Unless you are taking the class, this book is of little value compared to a regular book.
