It introduces you to practical techniques that you can apply in your daily life; it shows you how to set your own limits without feeling deprived and becoming rebellious; and it gives you the ability to develop greater control by helping you to overcome addictive behaviour. So simply follow "Eating Less" and see your weight fall off and stay off. ""Eating Less" is likely to succeed where diet books fail. Customer Reviews
No Hype, a 'be here now' approach using common sense
I read the book and found it refreshingly different, and it rightfully points out that it is no good blaming other people or events in childhood for over-eating, because you can't change that, you can only change yourself NOW, and take responsibility for doing so (easier said that done).
Gillian explains how overeating is due to an addictive desire, and describes a technique that enables you to see the reason for the addiction with such clarity, that using her technique you learn that we always have a choice, to be healthy or eat addictively and allow the addictive desire to take away our free will and choice. The right choice will lead to a higher self esteem, and a healthy, energetic addictive free person.
Her writing style is perfect, very easy to read and re read.
She is without a doubt way ahead of the field.
I have been searching for a solution to my addiction to food for 30 years, and this is 'it'.
I highly recommend you read this book if you have problems with Eating Disorders or compulsive eating.
