Can't say enough great things about this toy!5
My daughter received this walker as a gift for her first birthday. She was not yet walking on her own, and this doll walker toy gave her the freedom to get up and go. Now that she is 4 years old it is still her favorite ride-on toy, hands down (even though she is really too big for it at this point). She's pretty rough on it - propelling herself and the bike off the end of our patio and onto the grass (a few inch drop). This toy is sturdy! We now have an 8 month old son who is starting to get some use out of it too, and loving it. Too bad for him it's in such great shape still because he's stuck riding a pink bike! <> Highly recommend this walker/trike!

A fun, simple, and durable classic.5
We affectionatly call the Push&Ride the Puppenlaufstuhl (its German name found in the directions). We purchaced the Puppenlaufstuhl for our daughter at 10 months, when she was almost walking. Once walking, she took to it immediately, and continued playing with it throughout her increasing mobility stages. She enjoyed pushing it, riding it, and sometimes just repeatedly getting on and off of it. It's low profile, along with well spaced handlebars and spoiler, allowed her to easily climb on and off at a fairly young age. I really feel it helped develop her agility and climbing skills. Occaisionally she would slide off onto the floor, which is probably why they only recommend it for tots over 12 months. Until your child is over 12 months & has better agility, I'd recommend your child play with it on carpeted surfaces only. Like other reviewers, our daugther went through a stage of standing on the seat (before she was ready to). While she got a few boo-boos, again I feel she learned some limitations by doing so. Now, at 26 months, she leaps off unscathed, and seems to have a great sense of balance. As her play developed, she used it as a make-shift truck to haul small toys from one place to another (in the small bin behind the seat), which facilited long stretches of stacking and unstacking. Initially, I'd stoop over and push her across the floor. In an effort to save my back, I created a make-shift tow rope for the Puppenlaufstuhl by looping a temporary dog leash around the handlebar stem - under the handlebar grips (Dad's longer leather belt works well too). When I pull her around the house or neighborhood like this, she screams and laughs with joy! This is one of her all-time favorite things to do (mine too)! We took it on an extended work/vacation trip where we stayed in a hotel for multiple days. While my wife was attending all-day conferences, I occupied our daughter by pulling her down the long hotel corridors. Occaisionally, this even lulled her to sleep. Thereafter, it went on all similar trips. A short list of the Puppenlaufstuhl's best features: (1)It doesn't tip fore and aft, thanks to stretched wheelbase. (2)No steering mechanism (for you new parents, this is a good thing). (3)Sturdy, yet light enough for your one-year-old to push and carry. (4)Fits easily into cars trunk or roof box, duffle bag, or upper shelf in closet. (5) Simple design - no batteries, no music buttons, no seperate or moving parts (except wheels). (6)Extended play life makes this inexpensive toy an exceptional value. I expect our second child to get a few more years out of the Puppenlaufstuhl. Bottom line, if your tot were to only have three toys, this should be one of them.

Great fun for a great price!5
My daughter got this for her first birthday. She loves to ride on it while her big brother pushes it. She loves to push it around herself. It is extremely well made, and the wheels roll nicely. It is low enough that my daughter can get on and off by herself.
