Customer Reviews

Not for beginner pilots4
I was looking for cheap twin engine RC airplane for some time and found this the best value for the money.
It really flies and will survive hard crashes but it is not an airplane for beginners. The radio allows controlling the RPM of the engines in only 3 steps: off, low and high. Left-right direction is controlled only like full left - straight - full right. With the direction this is not such a problem but doing the same with the speed so that the plane is not going up or down but straight can be a challenge. If you can fly RC aircraft and are looking for something cheap which flyes on little space and does not need any maintenance, this can be interesting. I am not expert but I can fly an RC airplane with proportional control reasonably well. I had hard time to keep this in the air at first. It can be learned but if you have never flown anything, this one will be too fast and requires the pilot to do too many things just to keep flying straight. If you are serious about RC planes get something with proportional radio - which will probably start at about $100. If you want toy for kids, this is doubtfull because it isn't much fun to crash all the time and eventually something will break - though the construction is tough and survived already several hard crashes. In this category of 2-engine toy-planes this is good choice. The price is nice. There are airplanes with the same parameters for $40 and even more.

Not bad for the price4
The plane is made for beginners so it's fairly inexpensive. The engines are pretty good and sufficient enough to get some height and distance. The construction is glue and two sided tape so you have to use a little bit of care with it. Don't fly it into trees and your ok. As long as you purchase this as a beginner you should be happy. If you are expecting to do some aerobatic stunts then you will probably need to add several hundred dollars to your budget and not even bother with this little guy. My son (5) loves it and gets a big kick out of playing with it and that's all I cared about.

Great Price...takes punishment4
This is the second RC airplane I have purchased. The first one was a complete disaster but I wanted to give flying toys another chance. The controls are very easy. Fast, slow, left, right... thats about it. I don't think this plane is able to take off from the ground, I think it's too light. So my first try hand launching I followed the instructions in the box, so I launched with props at full power. This caused the plane to go straight up in the air and then nose dive. So you need to launch at slower prop speed and gradually increase your altitude. This plane can not handle the slightest wind... my day was very light winds and it still caused it to turn hard from the wind. It survives the little crashes great. I crashed over and over without any problems except for the battery case coming off the bottom. I found that clear packing tape worked much better than the supplied plastic piece. The nose cone is durable foam which holds up great, however, if you nose dive too hard, you can break/crack the nose area made out of styrofoam. After I got it home, I was able to reconstruct it back to health just fine.

The thing I love most about this plane is the 5 minute charge time... AND all you do is plug the battery into the back of the handheld controller, thats it, no electricity needed!!!! You just can't beat that, period. RC planes, cars, boats... I've owned them all. Up until this baby, my fastest charge time was 30 minutes and that needed to be plugged into the wall. So, if you are in a field and the battery dies, sit down, have a snack for 5 minutes and your up and running again. Also, the battery lasted for a good twenty minutes of flying. I'm not sure why another review said it doesn't last long enough, especially when you can charge up again in 5 minutes.

All and all, this is an excellent toy that can't be beat for the value. It's currently going on amazon for $47.95 but when I bought it, it was a different seller going for $29. I would suggest shopping around online until you find the price that works for you. Even at $50, I would still recommend this product.

Happy Flying
