This 87 minute video shows how Options provide investors and traders with an abundance of strategy alternatives than simply going long the market. However, using options effectively requires that you learn to think in a new way. Join PHLX's Options Industry Council instructor Joe Frey as he introduces you to options strategies that allow you to participate in a sharp market move with limited risk, to take advantage of time decay in slow moving markets, how options pricing is affected by the underlying stock, and finally how to trade options with realistic expectations. An essential primer for all option traders of all levels. With stocks, traders have just two main alternatives - buy or sell. But trading options offers investors so many strategic choices that it's the fastest growing area on the investment horizon. Now, this fast moving presentation from respected Options Industry Council instructor Joseph Frey provides a comprehensive overview of options trading -- from basic concepts to sophisticated strategies. Ideal for any trader looking to refine skills, Frey focuses on the nuts and bolts of option trading including: · Why options don't behave like stocks - and differences in price action. · The impact of implied volatility on every option trade · Basic put and call purchases · 4 fundamental actions underlying all option trading techniques · 6 primary option strategies for bullish investors · The 3 key reasons options traders fail - and how to avoid them · The 50% rule for "at-the-money" price moves · How time decay can quickly eat up option trading profits He explains advanced bull/bear spreads, straddle techniques, and the various "directional option strategies" he's instructed over the years. With detailed discussion on how option prices are determined, what causes them to change, case studies of specific strategies in action - and when to apply them - this comprehensive session will help you meet your trading goals

Customer Reviews
Has been very helpful for me to learn and understand about options
I have been frustrated with the books I have been looking at that I have purchased on Amazon but this video and some others have shed new light on the subject and now I am making wiser trades with a higher chance of success than before watching this. Material was relevant for my needs and it taught me a lot for an hour and a half presantation.
