Geting around in Puerto Rico4
We have been to Puerto Rico before but will be going this time with our grandchildren. I have used a previous Rough Guide to PR and found it extremely useful. Last year, we found the Rough Guide to the
Dominican Republic to be an excellent guide which we could use while we were traveling as well as when we were planning our trip. We have already used our Puerto Rico guide to find places to stay different from those we stayed at last time. I have checked and found that descriptions of places we visited last time were accurate and believe that this new guide will be equally as accurate for our upcoming trip. I anticipate considerable use of the guide while we are in Puerto Rico. My only complaint is that the Rough Guides tend sometimes to be a bit too optimistic. However, I have never found this optimism to make me think that I wish we had not done something. In fairness, I have found the Rough Guides to more accurately approximate our responses to visits than a number of other guides.

My favorite travel guides5
I love the entire Rough Guide series and it is always the first book I order when I'm planning a trip. Rough Guides always seem to have more information than all the others--there always seem to be more restaurant and hotel listings and the descriptions about various places are more detailed. And the authors are frank and honest. If the author thinks a town is ugly--he'll say so, right in the text without trying to "be nice."

Puerto Rico Info4
Good info to prepare for your trip, wish there was more info regarding those hidden cafes like Anthony Bourdains goes to.....ended up spending a lot of money on eating for lack of info on those hidden places. Helped us decide where to go during our stay.
