Schooner Bank Hat
Great hat. Light weight materials and quality made. Great for the Afghan sun. I will be looking forward to it's use when I get back to the States.

My favorite hat
I've owned this hat for about 7 years and used it regularly while kayaking, rafting and hiking. It's been with me on two Grand Canyon raft trips. I've had to do a bit of stitch repair where corners of the brim meet the hat and the clip that holds it on to your collar broke (easily replaced), but considering the use and abuse as I've given this hat I can't complain at all. I particularly like the adjustment strap out the back of the hat. I wear it loose for comfort when the wind isn't blowing. A quick, one hand tug on the strap will cinch it down when the wind comes up. The collar clip does work and is much less troublesome (and safer) than a chin strap. The brim is extra large and completely shades your face. I figure I've got at least two more years use in mine, but I'm tempted to buy another one just to keep as a spare in case they quit making them! The only thing that would make it more perfect is if it came with some flotation. I put a small piece of foam on the adjustment strap to serve that purpose.
