GORGEOUS MUSIC GORGEOUS COVER GORGEOUS ATMOSPHERE
If you want a beautiful atmosphere in your home or car then play this CD in it. It's that simple. Contrary to the below reviewer I am glad that the version of Girl from Ipanema is the instrumental because I already have the other versions, they are in the other CDs. The instrumental version makes it so that this CD is a 100% investment, with no wastage whatsoever (like that can happen if you get a CD with some songs you already have in it). Excellent, and I know NOTHING of Brazilian music and didn't even know I was supposed to know what "bossa nova" is until having read the below review!!!
the best CD you've never heard
I asked for this CD for Christmas, but didn't know what to expect. It's fantastic, and prompted me to write my first ever review. The only drawback is that the title track "The Girl from Ipanema" is an instrumental (I suppose paying for the royalities/rights to include the popular version would make the cost prohibitive); for the best version of that song, buy the Getz/Gilberto CD that accompanies this. But be sure to buy THIS CD if you like pleasant music! Who cares if you don't know what they are saying, or don't know Bossa Nova is--I didn't and I love it!
