A Must-Have For Drivers!5
We've just returned from 4 weeks driving throughout New Zealand, and I can't begin to say how important and helpful this guide was. It has an amazing amount of information. All the primary, secondary, and tertiary roads are accurately shown, including many unpaved back roads that are clearly marked. Driving times given between various locations on the map are very accurate. The CBD (Central Business District) maps of all the major cities (and even some of the smaller towns) are very clearly drawn, including the locations of various ciry sites (churches, museums, parks, libraries, public parking lots, etc.). We found it especially helpful to know which streets were one-way when trying to negotiate downtown rush-hour traffic in the major cities. Outside the cities, locations where various scenes in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy were filmed are marked (if you're into that sort of thing), as well as the locations of most scenic overlooks along the highways. One thing that we didn't expect was that rental cars can't be legally driven on certain back roads because of road conditions and the risk of car damage: We were quite glad to see these roads clearly marked on the maps as well. All in all, this was the guide we turned to the most during our trip -- if you're planning on driving in New Zealand, you don't want to be without it!

A great help for tourists...5
If you're planning on renting a car in another country to do some sightseeing, I highly recommend this series of Road Atlas. I have several of them from different countries and all of them are extremely helpful when you want to make your own route for a driving excursion. It is large scale, with excellent detail on roads and routes. A must have for driving in other countries.

A must have for a road trip to New Zealand5
This is the equivalent of the Rand McNally Road Atlas for New Zealand. I highly recommend it if you are planning a road trip through New Zealand. It helped tremendously with our trip planning. It also includes a table of distances between major cities and towns and estimated drive times.
