About the Author
Originally an actor, Anne studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California, and went on to perform with such companies as Theatre Beyond Words and Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia. After spending several years singing and dancing her way across North America, she turned to writing children's literature, indulging a lifelong love of children's books. During the festival, they give thanks to the yam spirit, Ihejioku, for a successful harvest. Many towns gather for the festival.
