Customer Reviews

I wish I would have had this book before I went4
This book actually covers Gibraltar, the Costa del Sol, Costa del la Luz and Tangier, Morocco. If you plan on spending a week in Andalucia, then Gibraltar is worth a few day stop along with a stay in Tangier.

The problem with books like this is that Gibraltar is too small to warrant a book just by itself. That's not a slam against Gibraltar (which is one of the nicest and coolest places to go in the world), but it's generally visited along with other areas (all of which is covered). If you're a history buff, Gibraltar is one of the most unique places in the world.

If you want a good overview of the area, this book is great. Seriously, Globetrotter makes very good tour guides and this fits in line with the rest of their books.

Perfectly fine but nothing great3
If you aren't looking for anything long-winded and you'd rather explore mostly unaided then this should suit you just fine. It gives you a fairly basic rundown of what is available to you in Gibraltar without really going into much detail. My biggest complaint is that the maps included are nearly useless. You'll probably want some kind of supplemental map to help you get around. Again, this book isn't bad but with a little more detail it could have been much better.
