Customer Reviews

Great for my use5
The front is a political map of Mexico south to the northern edge of South America. There is a city index and inset of Guatemala City, Tegucigalpa, San Jose, Managua, Panama City, Mexico City and Havana.

The back is a political map of South America with a city index. There are insets of Caracas, Cartagena, Quito, Lima, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Buenos Aires and Easter Island.

The scales are 1:11,000,000 & 1:20,000,000.

General comments about the Globetrotter Travel Maps:
These Globetrotter maps measure 28" x 39". The fronts are really 28" x 34" because the left 5" is the unfolded heavy cover. They are printed on heavy paper that should hold up well under normal use. I make use of a bound atlas that has an extensive list of cities to help me find specific places on these larger maps.

These are great for me because I read a lot of foreign authors (in translation) and want to know where the action is taking place. I have atlases, but I prefer this size. These are not substitutes for travel guides; so buy them for what they are. I have bought a dozen of these (and there are a few more I want). Their being available under Amazon's 4 for 3 deal is a bonus.
