Customer Reviews

Michelin maps are always the best5
Wherever you're going, you should always buy a Michelin map. They have EVERYTHING!! These are the maps that my French cousins buy, and I can see why. You can't go wrong, they are a great investment.

Consider one of the Local Map Editions instead4
The Michelin Regional Bourgogne 1:275000 Map #519 is pretty good. However, if one is doing a driving tour of the region, the Michelin Local map editions #319 or #320 may be better, with more roads shown. The Michelin Green Guides are indexed to these local map editions. The larger scales have more detail still than #519, but seem to be getting more and more difficult to obtain in the United States. #319 1:175000 map (Nièvre, Yonne) covers the western half of Bourgogne but does not cover Beaune. #320 1:175000 (Côte-d'Or, Saône-et-Loire) covers the eastern half of Bourgogne but has no coverage further west than Auxerre. The Local map series tend to be a little cheaper than the regional series, but often unwieldy because they get huge. Be sure that you are at least 2m tall if you want to be able to open some of these up in one sitting.
Another map product that competes for usefulness here is the Institut Geographique National's series of maps at 1:100000 scale. In this case, it would be #28 Auxerre Saulieu, #29 Dijon Chaumont and #37 Dijon Tournus.

Driving Map of Burgundy5
As usual from Michelin, a high-quality, detailed road map that is very useful for anyone doing a driving tour of the region.
