![]() | Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt
Buy used from: $0.35 Sad, dark, heart wrenching, funny, ambitious, and heart warming. This book raised a lot of controversy at its release. The fine people of Limerick took offense to the picture painted of their town, fearing it would drive people away from visiting. It did the opposite for me. I rearranged my itinerary to include Limerick. So, don't hate Frank too much folks!

![]() | Shannon: A Novel by Frank Delaney
Buy new: $17.16 / Used from: $3.66 I'm a frank Delaney fan, and this book does not disappoint. It's a gripping story of a preist trying to find his way and his roots after WWI. He returns to Ireland seeking peace, but finds all but. I had this on audio and delighted in the opportunity to hear this read by Delaney himself.
