Customer Reviews
great but not for fast cleaning
I bought this chair because I wanted something comfy for my baby to eat in. I have 2 other stokee highchairs. My husband went to babies r us with me to pick it out. he really fell in love with this one, so we got it. I like the colors, no ugly teddy bears on this one. However it takes up about as much space as any other full size high chair. the trays that you put on top are only a lil helper because fluids and spill can get caught underneath therefore defeating the purpose. And the thing that mostly turned me off from this chair is all the NOOKS AND CRANIES. it takes forever to get clean. you really have to dig in all the little corners and folds. I think if I could exchange it for something else I would have gone with the boon highchair or a pre-perego.
I love this chair!
This is the perfect chair! I bought this for my daughter at 6 mos. I actually own the Discovery pattern though not the Explorer. They have the same features though. I chose this chair because it had every feature I was looking for. I wanted a chair that could grow with her, the tray was 100% removable so that it could eventually be pushed up to the table, adjustable height, seat recline positions, trays that are dishwasher safe, a safety harness and fabric that is easily cleaned. This was one of the few chairs that provided all of these features in one. In addition, it was easy to assemble and was so user friendly I was able to figure out its features without reading the directions. The double padding makes it a very plush seat for my daughter. Perhaps my only criticism is that the trays are so large that they don't fit in the dishwasher. I have a Frigidaire professional series. The depth of the dishwasher will not accomodate the tray. That was something that I did not think about. Regardless, I'm still very pleased with this chair.
Great high chair minus one flaw
This high chair was recommended to me because of the one hand button to pull the tray in and out. Having not used any other high chairs I haven't had to put our baby in using two hands to pull the tray out but i would imagine it would be inconvenient. the only thing that we have to get used to is when you are holding the button down to slide the tray out our son pushes the tray off and it goes flying because it isn't locked in place. If we make sure to lock it in place before sliding him in it work fine. The crotch bar is attached to the tray so you can't slide the whole thing off and set it on the counter because it isn't flat. This isn't too big of deal now that we are getting used to that. The material is GREAT for wiping down and keeping clean. The adjustable height and wheels are also very convenient. It took some getting used to but I would reccommend this high chair to other mommy's.
