Kurt Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Trainer - 2007 model
Replaced my old Monura Mag Turbo trainer, which broke, with the Kurt Kinetic about 3 months ago. Hve used numerous times and like it over the old trainer . . . very smooth and easy to set up.
Excellent trainer
An excellent trainer (noticeably better than the Minoura I had previously). Even after the first 45 minute ride I could see the accelerated wear from friction on my rear Krylion tire, so an essential requirement is a tire for trainers. I will be interested to see what sort of lifespan I get from one of these tires...
Kurt makes a great product
I've owned this thing for a few months. I am not an avid rider, I just like to break up my runs with some cycling, and hope to maybe get into a triathalon sometime this year. I'll go on this thing anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour, and it is pretty great. Smooth as heck, easy to adjust. Gives great resistance, as much or as little as you want by just changing your gears. should last a long time. I bought the donut thing to put my front tire on so I would be riding on a level surface and i suggest you do the same or just craft something that will lift the front tire up. Be sure to follow the directions when fitting your back tire on the device, as i just dove right in and didn't do it right and nearly sent myself pedaling 20mph into my back door. Customer service is great, i asked them a few questions re:the warranty and they emailed me right back.
