I have read many books, and tend to stray away from the "self-help" or "motivational" types of books as they are typically the same re-hashed bits of mindless banter offering no means of resolution. No one's life is a pretty little package wrapped up in a bow. Everyone is looking for hard answers to help them excel at this game called life. Enough of the fluff. Dondi Scumaci offers several fantastic, real-life challenges and answers for those of us who do not live on Fantasy Island. There is a piece on self-rejection that I had never even considered, which I found extremely insightful. This is one of many topics that Mrs. Scumaci covers quickly, yet in depth, with positive ideas on how to conquer this issue in your own life. "Ready, Set, Grow" covers many topics in a thought-provoking way, offers insight and follow-up activities towards a healthier you, without belaboring the point. This is not the movie you wish was 45 minutes shorter because the actors wanted to hear/see more of themselves on the screen. This is a great book to use as a mirror reflection of your own life, to allow personal growth in ways perhaps you have not yet thought about. If you want to improve yourself, and gather some great tips on truly enjoying life, then this book is perfect for you. Or buy it for someone who is simply having a bad day. This is one of the best books I have read in a really long time.

Living Your Life to the Fullest
Dondi Scumaci offers the reader the gift of hope, refreshing, promise, and personal restoration in her book "Ready, Set...Grow! The book is made up of three collections with the themes of: Preparation, planting, and producing.

Scumaci includes principles on how to identify and overcome self-limiting beliefs, attitudes and behavors. She provides keys to exchanging anxiety for anticipation, and how to be opptimitic in the midst of difficult circumstances.

The combination of font choice, the white space on each page, and descriptive subject headings are inviting and help the reader assimilate the narrative for immediate and long range retention as well as for later review. The book is well organized and follows a natural progression in the presentation of material. Each chapter contains valuable information and follows a consistent format with a good balance of: charts, illustrations, or bulleted lists. I found the journaling exercises which included suggested questions to consider triggering mind stimulating entries.

Dondi packs the book with stories of real live people to illustrate important application for successful personal, career, or corporate business growth. The chapter discussing mentoring was of special significance to me. The concept, results and rewards offer potential promise of personal gratification in establishing relationships and accomplishing goals.

The "reflections" at the end of each of the three sections of the book help the reader internalize the principles presented in the previous chapters. The reflections are made up of summary statements which highlight: Part I, Preparing the Ground: Part II, Planting Seeds of Expectancy; and Part III,
Producing - Releasing the Potential within You.

"Ready, Set...Grow!" is filled with discovery, inspiration, motivation, and provides the action steps to cultivate life changing principles for women in business, for leaders in corporate America, and for anyone who wants to realize their dreams and goals. Dondi Scumaci is articulate and a communicator - "Extraordinaire."

Great book to read. Ms.Scumaci talk on self character and how to overcome
fear, and move on with your life. Not only just reading , but you have
assignment just as well.
