Excellent!
Having studied the biblical passages that are used to condemn LGBT Christians, I can tell you that this is a compelling and well-written book. David's scholarship is worth of recognition. Rainbow Kingdom - good easy read
The Rainbow Kingdom is an excellent entry level book that covers much of the latest biblical studies on the real interpretation of the scriptures on the topic.

The book takes us beyond the few, short easy to quote seemingly anti homosexual references in the New and Old Testament. The author gives a clear explanation of these sections of the Bible in a manner that a reader of limited experience will quickly question some often quoted interpretations.

This book should lead concerned Christians to get to know the Bible in a manner that looks beyond a 20th century intreperation of scripture that does not take into account the language, history situation and translation problems in the bible today.

A "must have" for your Christian reference collection.
With so many people struggling to merge their natural orientation with their desire to serve the Lord, it is high time that a guidebook was published to help those of the GLBT community (and their loved ones) to understand that God is indeed merciful and loving of all his children. Rainbow Kingdom, written by Pastor David W. Shelton, sheds deep insight into the verity that one can indeed be both gay and Christian.
