Good Anthology5
Well worth the purchase. This is a good review of Andy Capp though I could wish for a few more of his earlier cartoons. He isn't portrayed as such a hooligan as he was when he first arrived on the scene. Still, a good anthology with a good overview of the character and his life.

Raise Your Glass For Andy Capp !4
Andy Capp, along with: "Fred Basset", are my two favorite comic strips from Merry Ol' England. Both of these great comics have survived the test of time, and they are now both regarded as classics of the genre.

"Andy Capp", is as "British" as it gets, and it is a very good "Look-See" into a world that it is a LOT DIFFERENT than what we know here in America.
Creator; Reg Smythe, takes us into the pubs, and to the football matches, and more than anywhere else... to the sofa in Andy's, living room. Andy, might rightly be regarded as a: "No-Good, Lay-About", but his comments are always: On-The-Mark, and he is very funny.

The supporting cast includes: Flo {Andy's long-suffering wife}, Chalkie (Andy's best mate & pub buddy) and The Vicar, who always fails to win a battle of words with Andy, about his morals.

Again, the reason that this comic is still popular after all these years is that it is very, very funny and it is one of the greats. Yes, I know that "Andy Capp" will never be considered as: "Politically Correct" due to the way, Andy behaves and views the world in general, BUT...If that is a problem for you, pass this one by. For, the rest of us, this is timeless and loaded with humor...FOUR STARS !!!

Wonderful!5
I love Andy CappI read and reread the pocket sized ones until they fall apart! Then glue and tape them together. This retrospective collection was fabulous! I have already read it twice!
