Product Description

"We're talking cute, but with a Calvin and Hobbes-ian twist." --Mike Wilson, features editor, St. Petersburg Times

In the spirit of Snoopy and Charlie Brown, or Calvin and Hobbes, please welcome Sophie and Doug.

Dog Eat Doug is the cartooning creation of Brian Anderson that follows the daily exploits of Sophie, a cheese-loving chocolate Lab with a nose for the nuances of sarcasm and irony, and baby Doug, a healthy, happy newborn with no concept of jealousy and a limitless curiosity.

Together, this dynamic duo adjusts to sharing the spotlight, the toys, and the affections of Mom and Dad, while exploring nature and its majesty, the couch and its cushions, and the cookie jar and its contents.

As the first Dog Eat Doug collection, this book features 43 weeks' worth of strips beginning with the cartoon's 2005 debut.

Dog eats Doug is one the the top 5 comics in my opinion.5
I bought Dog eat Doug because I was looking for some new comics to read.
I was delight by the book and now I read the comic on-line everyday.
I hope they come out with another book.
The interaction of Sophie (the dog) and Doug (the baby) are wonderful. They are full of mischief.

WONDERFUL BOOK!5
I loved the humor and drawing style of this book. A wonderful collection of the Dog Eat Doug comic strip, very funny. The strips characters antics ring true for anyone who has ever had a baby, a puppy, or both. It's as if the artist has truly gotten into the minds of a baby and a puppy and how they see the world around them. A must have for fans of the strip, or anyone who loves puppies, babies, or just plain ol' good humor!

Encapsulates the whole dog/baby experience5
Dog Eat Doug is a wonderfully drawn strip that encapsulates the whole dog/baby experience and keeps me laughing on a daily basis. I was introduced to the strip by a friend after we had our baby, and they knew that we were enjoying the challenges of balancing our new baby with the furry "baby" that had been with us for years. Every strip gives wonderful hidden insight into what's going on in the world that only extends to two feet above the carpet. I brought this book home and left it on the dining room table, and two days later my husband was showing me pages he had bookmarked so we could laugh over the common experiences. A great strip, with a great sense of humor, and wonderful selections in this collection.
