Product Description

Oh baby! My Space, this Baby Blues collection, kicks and screams with good stuff. The MacPhersons show us that raising one kid is a breeze, raising two kids is tricky yet manageable, and raising three kids is deserving of canonization. But still, sleep-deprived Darryl and Wanda do it with a style and wit all their own.

Baby Blues is funny because it accurately depicts the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of parenting. And like any curious kid, My Space cracks you up and leaves you begging for more!

Forget child-rearing books; all a parent needs to get through the highs and lows of raising kids is a 3 a.m. read of Baby Blues.

* From diapers to long division, it's easy to see why so many people relate to Darryl, Wanda, Zoe, Hammie, and Wren.

* In 2001, Scott earned the prestigious Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year. The National Cartoonists Society also gave Baby Blues its Best Comic Strip of the Year award in 1995.

I Heart Wanda and Darryl.5
I've been collecting these books since 1990, when my first child was born. I have gotten a laugh on days when it seemed like I'd rather cry. My oldest son has the same personality as Zoe. My second son is much like Hammie. My third son would kick me if I said he was like a baby girl, but he does bring us the same joy and love that Wren brought to her family. (Figured I should add that my #3 son is 11 years old. He's in a "girls?? Phooey!" stage)

The battles that Wanda and Darryl take on are Everyparent. The kids are not always well behaved, the house is often messy, the parents are often tired and cranky. In other words, NORMAL and FAMILIAR.

I missed seeing goofy neighbors Bunny and Butch (kind of wondering how those twins are working out), I missed seeing Rhonda, the grandparents, and all the other supporting cast. Hopefully there will more of them soon.

Great job, fun read, my kids fight over who gets to read it after I'm done. You should see how they are with a Zits book. :)

I enjoyed this!5
I enjoyed this! This comic is for adults, as much as it is for kids! Parents will see their own experiences mirrored here!
