Another wonderfully entertaining collection of cartoons from the Daily Mail's classic Fred Basset strip, featuring one of the most endearing and enduring of Britain's cartoon heroes. Fred Basset is without doubt the acknowledged authority on chasing cats, eating whatever food his owners leave unattended, and people watching. With his sidekicks Jock and Yorkie, Fred Basset's brilliantly dry wisecracks grace publications worldwide.

About the Author
Born in Scotland, Alex Graham began selling cartoons to magazines during World War II. On July 9, 1963, Graham began the comic strip with which he is most closely associated: Fred Basset. The strip still continues in the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, and a book of the Fred cartoons is published every year.
Customer Reviews
A MUST for basset owners
Anyone who has ever owned a basset hound SHOULD collect Fred Basset books! When a cartoonist is required to come up with something funny 365 days a year, a few are bound to be duds, but this compilation from 2005 is good, as usual.
cute, good comic
The humor in this book is more subtle than typical comic books. However, the strips are well written with a good homey quality.
