The City
This book is a genuinely hilarious, biting collection of "The City" cartoons that left me wishing the book were packed with even more of Derf's distinctive and blisteringly funny strips. Hopefully, it will be followed (soon) by another "City" collection. Derf has long been one of the brightest stars in the alt-comics field, and his work is absolutely unique. If you can afford it, you should also check out his full-length comic opuses, "Trashed" and "My Friend Dahmer," which are truly amazing works of narrative and visual storytelling.
