Is there a better comic?
I look forward to reading everyday the Rhymes with Orange comic strip in my local paper. Now, to have several of them all together in one book is wonderful. I also have her previous book, "Reighning Cats & Dogs". Now, on a rainy day, I sometimes take them out, and forget everything else.
Organized but not quite Comprehensive
It's 11 books in 1 if you consider comics seperated by categories and not years. Most comics collections are by date of publication, so you can technically buy every comic printed. Ms Price has a seperate book on comics just about pets. This book is Sorted by various headings such as Method, Trouble, Relationships, etc. So some sections are larger than others. While the book is FANTASTIC and PACKED with comics, it in no way is a complete collection in that it doesn't have everything over a specified time span, like say Garfield books, or calvin and hobbes. However if you like Rhymes with orange, this book is a GREAT deal!!! And if you want to find a comic for a specific occasion or subject then having a book written this way is fantastic. Ps, someone needs to thank Mr Piraro for his backcover blurb except for the fact that the 'book end' of each section does nothing but refer to it.
In the end, the only reason I give it four stars instead of five is because I love the comic so much I want everything, every comic ever written, printed, thought up, and inked down. And with only two books, or 12 if you want to count this as a complete collection, I can't get that. Still I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to one and all who like comics of any kind.
ps sorry for all caps but it's not like I can use bold, undeline, or italics in this dang thing.
