Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review
I can't say that I agree with everything Good proposes in this book, but he does raise some interesting possibilities about UFOs. Good is not claiming that UFOs are extraterrestrial, but simply that they do exist and that the governments of the world have been hiding evidence of this fact. His study is exhaustive but would still be worth reading just to examine the facsimile copies of confidential and secret documents from the U.S., Canada, and Europe, as well as the controversial MJ-12 documents.

From Library Journal
Good is a respected British broadcast journalist and UFO investigator. His main purpose in writing this book is to prove that many national governments continue to suppress information about UFOs that might prove disturbing to the public. Focusing on the post-World War II era, Good includes a large number of worldwide sightingsmany of which will be new to American readers. This study is broader in scope than Lawrence Fawcett and Barry J. Greenwood's Clear Intent ( LJ 6/15/84), which was based on declassified FBI, CIA, and U.S. Air Force files. While all UFO devotees will want to see this book, its suppression-of-evidence theme gives it wider general interest than other titles in the genre. Gary D. Barber, SUNY at Fredonia Lib.

Has to be the best book on UFOs there is.5
All of those who entertain the concept of a world wide UFO cover-up really owe something to Timothy Good. In this one of a kind book Good goes through files from the United States, Canada, all over Europe and the very contreversial MJ-12 documents to show that governments all around the world are secretly investigating unidentified flying objects and hiding the truth. Good's conclusions are based more on research as opposed to speculation unlike many other UFO books. Great for an introduction to UFOlogy as well as for the experienced UFO buff looking for something grounded in fact.

Encyclopedic, centered in pro-UFO belief3
No one would ever characterize Timothy Good as being overly skeptical. In terms of research and analysis this is a liability. But in terms of writing a fascinating page-turner, it's an advantage. ABOVE TOP SECRET is a good, solid read -- never boring, constantly surprising, often amazing. It's an encyclopedia of incredible stories. So power down your critical faculties and just enjoy.

The most comprehensive study of the Worldwide UFO Coverup5
The modern era of UFO's began in the skies over Europe, and the mysterious 'FOO' fighters reported by allied bomber crews in the closing days of WWII. The intelligence agencies of the allied powers were concerned about these mysterious glowing balls of light that would follow bombers on their runs. After the war, they could find no surviving Nazi scientist who would admit to knowledge of these craft.

Timothy Good takes you on a whirlwind tour of the modern UFO history. He details the extensive campaign of dis-information put into place following the Roswell incident, and shows the attempts by various other world governments to cover up any information dealing with the phenominon.

The primary motive for this cover-up appears to be one of fear, both of a collapse in law and order when the truth - that our governments cannot stop or protect us from invasion or abduction, and a fear also in the aliens themselves, and perhaps the beginnings of a subserviant alliance with them...

I strongly reccommend Mr. Good's book to any serious researcher on the UFO dilemma. The book is very convincing, and will keep you awake at night, pondering the implications for us all.
