1931, 1936, 1943, 1945. This is a must-have DVD set which includes a worthwhile documentary titled "The Road to Dracula."

1948. ... and they meet Dracula (Bela Lugosi), too. He should be in the title!

1958. The Hammer film classic with the fabulous Christopher Lee. Cushing plays Van Helsing. The next few with the exception of Blacula and Jess Franco's Count Dracula (which stars Chris Lee) are all Hammer films.

1973. (not Hammer, but with Chris Lee) Kinski as Renfield. I wonder, is he the only actor to play both Renfield and Dracula during his career? The film is sometimes Dracula and El Conde Dracula.

1974. This version has the Dracula/Mina backstory prior to Coppola's 1992 version. There is a good interview with Palance on the DVD.

1977, also with Jose Ferrer. OMG I can't believe I watched this. It's a fun one, though.

1979. Based on Stephen King's text, this contains a Nosferatu-like Dracula.

1979. This is completely hilarious, with George Hamilton as a tanned Dracula. Coined the classic: "Children of the night ... shut up!"

1992. This is the one most people seem to remember (and dislike Keanu Reeves's performace as Jonathan.) Despite its shortcomings, it's closer to the novel than many adaptations, which I think is a good thing. This is a very nicely packaged collector's edition with good interviews.

1995. Leslie Neilson stars in the funniest Dracula since George Hamilton's version. The scene in which they stake Lucy and blood just keeps spurting and spurting out of her is hilarious.

2000. Gerard Butler as Dracula. In the midst of all the cheese, it has a surprisingly interesting, creative backstory for Dracula. (And the line, "I never drink ... coffee.")

2004. An A&E Biography production. There's some good info about Stoker and the novel, so it's worth watching.

2007. This is really bad--You have to see it to believe it.
